Here’s what’s confirmed to be leaving Netflix in August 2025—with special attention to Nigerian films or series available on Netflix Nigeria.


Nigerian titles departing Netflix Nigeria in August

A couple of other Nigerian films listed as expiring were noted to leave earlier at the very start of August, though precise year-to-region mapping is unclear.

From the comprehensive departure lists, the following Nigerian films are confirmed to exit Netflix globally in August.

Lagos Real Fake Life (2018) — scheduled to leave on August 16, 2025

Merry Men: The Real Yoruba Demons (2018) — listed for removal on August 1 (2025).

Elevator Baby (2019) — listed for August 2 (2025).

This 2021 Nollywood comedy is confirmed to leave Netflix Nigeria on August 11th, making it one of the most prominent local titles exiting the service this month.

Nigerian Prince

This popular crime drama is set to depart Netflix Nigeria on August 21st, according to several streaming update trackers and social media alerts.

Love is War

A known Nollywood title,”Love is War” is also confirmed to be among the Nigerian movies rotating out of the Netflix Nigeria library in August.

IJE: The Journey

Widely celebrated, “IJE: The Journey” is scheduled to exit Netflix Nigeria this August as part of the latest content changes.

Quam’s Money

Alongside “IJE: The Journey,” this sequel to “New Money” has been named as one of two Nigerian films departing Netflix Nigeria in August.

It’s worth noting that those sources may cover global Netflix libraries and not specifically Nigeria—so regional differences are possible.

These are popular titles departing globally—including some content available in Nigeria—but not Nigerian. Foreign (non-Nigerian) titles confirmed to be leaving Netflix Nigeria in August 2025 include:

Recommendation

It is recommeneded that Netflix Nigeria subscribers that want to ensure they don’t miss anything should use watch any shows listed above before mid‑August to avoid missing them.

They will not be available to Nigerian Netflix subscribers in September, and have scheduled removals. They will no longer be accessible on Netflix Naija after their departure dates.
